When you get your hair done, you want to walk out of the salon feeling happy and confident. The right hair cut and style should make you feel uplifted and beautiful. Although there is never a guarantee that you'll like your new look, there are some things that you can do to dramatically increase your chances of walking out with a makeover you'll love. When you are choosing a haircut and style you need to consider some things: your personality and own personal style, your hair texture, the shape of your face, and your facial features. You'll also want to explore and find some hair styles that interest you. Here are things to consider when choosing the best haircut and style for you:

Your Personality and Own Personal Style

You want to choose a hairdo that fits your own unique personality and lifestyle. If you're a conservative person with a professional job, you'll need a look that is appropriate for your career and work place. If you're on the less conservative side, then you'll more likely choose something that is a bit more unique and original.

Your Hair Texture

There are certain haircuts and hairdos that work well with one hair type (texture) but may not work well with others. Therefore, you need to take this into consideration. If you have thin hair, shorter hair might be a better choice for you. You might want to avoid long hair with a straight blunt style because it may make your hair appear stringy. Shorter hair with long angled layers will add shape and volume. However, if you have very thick or very curly hair and would like it to appear straighter and less full, you might want to avoid short hair cuts because they will add even more curl and body.

Your Facial Features

Whereas if you have a rounder face, you may want to get a style that makes it appear thinner.
